Cold Water @ Marina Barrage

To celebrate Father’s Day, I brought my kids out for a fun day at Marina Barrage. I’m waiting for the day they can bring me out for dinner or maybe an overseas trip for Father’s Day, but I guess it would be a while longer.

We arrived there around 1pm and thank God for the good weather.

So cool that Jayne actually fell asleep walking from the car park to the water play area.

Another chance for me to test my camera and try out different modes (S/A/M).

Every time I look at Joey, I can’t help but feel that time flies. She is already 5 years old and slowly turning into a young girl instead of a baby girl. I really got to treasure the times we can be together before she starts to make new friends from school and prefers to hang out with them instead.

I also want to lie down to enjoy the cool water leh..

Jayne has woken up! Test water first..

Jayne is more adventurous than Joey. At her same age, Joey will never step into such play area and don’t mind getting wet. Is it true that 2nd child is usually more garang than the 1st child? My younger brother is definitely more gung-ho than me.

Looks like she didn’t really want to take photo with me. But it’s not easy to do 自拍 with a DSLR camera, 703g heavy.

PS2

So blessed to have 2 beautiful girls. They will always bring a smile to Papa Isaiah.

A Hidden Playground @ East Coast Terrace

There is no one at such a nice playground. Maybe it’s nice because there is no one else. But the place seems new and clean. So the girls had an exclusive playing time.

Joey still wants me to hold her hand when walking on the steps. But Jayne just climbed up the ladder which has no railings. OMG!

Udders Ice-Cream

I secretly believe that my wife is on a mission to try out all the ice cream places in Singapore.
Surprisingly quite a number of good ice-cream places are located in the East.

Siglap Outlet
Add: 87 Upper East Coast Road
Tel: 64488732
Sun-Thu: 12noon to 11pm
Fri, Sat & eve of PH: 12noon to 1am

One of the bestseller flavour is their D24 Durian ice-cream. And it’s selling for $5.30 for a single scoop. Not cheap ah.. According to Kless, it is very NICE. But personally I prefer the real thing =)

DSC_0051

Joey loves her chocolate ice-cream so much there is no time to even push up her specs.

DSC_0053

One way to keep an active child quiet for a while.

The Simply Sofa Hunt 2011

This event was backed for the 3rd year running, however this is the 1st year Kuan Family took part.

The Simply Sofa Hunt is a family bonding event by Focus on the Family Singapore, as part of MCYS National Family Celebrations 2011. Families are to follow clues and go in search of 5 sofas, take a creative family photo on the sofas and submit their best shot for a chance to win a sofa!

Reached Tiong Bahru Plaza at 3pm and that place was already packed! So excited to see so many families gathered to enjoy an afternoon of fun and friendship. Every family was given a passport to collect our stamps when we complete the stations.

DSC_0002

It was a good idea to get the families to take public transport instead of driving to our destinations, I really enjoyed the time with the kids.

First clue is Pinnacle @ Duxton.

Second clue is the plain garden opp Pearl Centre. 2 girls resting while the parents are busy carrying the barang barang.

Third clue brought us to one of my favourite place – Raffles Place. It’s so rare to see so many people at Raffles Place on a Saturday.

Our sofa photo with the cute pillows.

DSC_0071

Will be going back again on another weekend to take more photos with the girls.

DSC_0072

Fourth clue is at Blk 17 Tiong Bahru.

DSC_0080

Another Dad’s Dare challenge, out of 5 questions asked regarding Joey, I only got 2 correct. She wants to be a mother when she grows up, and her favourite colour is pink.

DSC_0083

Last sofa is at Tiong Bahru Park.

DSC_0090

This has to be one of the last few playgrounds in Singapore with sand. Definitely bringing the girls back again for a run.

I love my family!!

Just Jayne (2-years-old)

For all the parents out there, you will agree that no matter how annoying your child can be, there are bound to be moments when their cuteness can cover up all things.

She is trying to act “No, I do not want to hear.”
